Are dell laptops bad for gaming?

I was hoping to get an XPS M1530 but a best buy employee told me that i wouldnt be happy with a dell, she may be right beacause ive heard some things about them not being to great. What is your opinion on dell gaming laptops? Can u reccomend some good gaming laptops for around 1100 dollars
cuz ps3 sux. and i want to play WoW and computer games.

For gaming unless you go to dells web site and build up your own laptopwith better performance and build up your own laptopwith better graphics card then you should be.

The XPS should do the job - get the version with the Geforce 8600M rather than the 8400M.
